hollywoodending-deactivated2011 asked: Hi I noticed after going through your blog you don't feed your Beardie any Crickets. Why is that?

When Bowser first came home, we had a lot of trouble getting her to eat crickets.  She was not comfortable with them, really wanted to eat on her own terms rather than when I took her to her feeding tank and went several days without eating in refusal.  It was suggested, by a BD.org member, to try out micro superworms.  I had a lot of questions about that because prior research told me that crickets were the suggested feeder for young ones and worms were a big “No!”.  What I found, however, was that supers are actually a good staple and are used by a lot of breeders.  I also found that crickets could eventually cause pinworms and that wasn’t a risk I was willing to take.  I do occasionally add reptiworms for variety and will continue to introduce other things as Bowser grows.

Thanks for checking out Bowser’s blog! :-)
